Summer Reading Program

Tuesdays from 10-11:30 AM.(For children entering 1st and 2nd grade). Discover and explore at the library! Each day will include stories and a project, plus some wild and wacky experiments based on the theme of the day. Be sure to bring your reading log or pick one up when you arrive. Thursdays from 10-11:30 AM. (For children entering 3rd grade and up). Each day begins with a fun experiment for you to try on your own or with a friend. This will be followed by stories, more crazy experiments, and a project based on the theme of the day. Be sure to bring your reading log or pick one up when you arrive. Fridays from 10-11 AM (For children entering Kindergarten and younger). Enjoy singing and listening to a story with your caregiver. Then, you will make new discoveries at a variety of hands-on stations.Be sure to bring your reading tally or pick one up when you arrive. Please Note: If your child has any allergies or other special needs you’d like us to be aware of, please note it when you register, under Special Needs, or contact lmaynard@hopkintontownlibrary.org. Pictures will be taken for our finale slide show and to show the students at Harold Martin and Maple Street presentations. If we are interested in putting a picture on our website or Facebook, we will contact you directly to obtain permission (or not). Important: You will be notified by email about a program for which you have registered. You can choose to be reminded just prior to the program if you wish. If your child is unable to attend the program, you can easily let us know by canceling online or calling 746-3663. This is especially important in the case of a waiting list.
